Bald Eagles
~ Bald eagles visit the lake in the winter. It is not unusual to spot the majestic birds along and above the lake shore from November to February.

Burchfield Branch Park
~ 36 Sites with electrical and water hookups, dump station available, coin laundry, hot showers, boat ramp, pay phone, playgrounds, fishing piers, group shelter, swimming beach. A park attendant is on duty. The campground is open year round with sites from $12.00-$18.00 per night (subject to change). A 14 day stay limit is enforced. Day Use Parks on Holt Lake
~ Holt Lake offers six (6) Corps-operated day use parks for use by the public. There are facilities for boaters, swimmers, hikers, sightseers and picnickers. At some of the parks, there are picnic shelters for individuals or large groups. These shelters may be reserved in advance by calling (205) 553-9373 or (205) 554-1684.

Deerlick Creek Park
~ 46 Sites, 40 with electrical (6 primitive sites without electric), water hookups, dump station available, coin laundry, hot showers, boat ramp, pay phone, playground, fishing piers, group shelter, swimming beach, hiking trails and paved bicycle trail. A park attendant is on duty. The campground is open from March through November with modern sites from $16.00- $18.00 per night and primitive sites for $10.00 per night (subject to change). A 14 day stay limit is enforced.
